On February 19, 2023, Sgt. Dan McKnight, founder and Chairman of Bring Our Troops Home, spoke at the Rage Against the War Machine Rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. The event was jointly organized by the Libertarian Party and People’s Party in opposition to U.S. involvement in the Russo-Ukrainian War. Other speakers on the rosters included former Reps. Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, Tulsi Gabbard, and Cynthia McKinney, along with journalists and media figures like Jimmy Dore, Scott Horton, and Chris Hedges.
McKnight descibed how long-needed corrections to U.S. foreign policy would not originate in Washington DC and would not be accomplished through further marches and public demonstrations; instead, solutions will be found in state capitols and through local grassroots efforts like the Defend the Guard movement.
